At Peregrine Capital, we believe investing responsibly means investing in our youth. Our flagship CSI initiative, 24SumMore, is designed to make maths exciting, engaging, and confidence-building for learners. What started as a pilot programme in Gauteng in 2025 has sparked a nationwide movement to reimagine maths as something exciting, challenging, competitive and social.

From Pilot to National Rollout
Based on the popular "24 Game" format, the competition rewards quick thinking, strategy, and mental agility — bringing joy and energy back into the maths classroom.
Highlights from 2025 Pilot
On 31 October 2025, Peregrine Capital's offices in Sandton buzzed with excitement as 24 bright young finalists from 18 schools that in the first-ever 24SumMore Maths Finals
- 54 schools participated across Gauteng.
- Learners from Grades 5–6 showcased composure, logic, and speed.
- Prizes included investment accounts to spark early financial literacy.
- The Teacher’s Award celebrated exceptional classroom leadership.

Going National in 2026
Following the success of our Gauteng pilot, 24SumMore will go national in 2026, expanding participation to learners from Grades 4 to 6 across South Africa.
Our goal is to foster a generation of confident problem-solvers — young minds who see maths not as a challenge to fear, but a skill to celebrate.

How It Works
The 24SumMore challenge is a game-based maths competition that promotes speed, logic, and teamwork. At the heart of the competition is a fast-paced card game that challenges players to use addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division to make 24 by combining all four numbers on a card. The game enhances problem-solving skills and sharpens mental maths ability, and makes learning engaging

Maths teaches learners how to think critically, solve problems, and see patterns in the world around them.
